The Laker football team’s season got off to a mixed start, beating Lincoln but losing to Beaverton and Tigard. That said, both losses were close. According to senior running back Martin Sorrelhorse, “I like the way this season is going. We could easily be 4-0 right now, with two really close losses to Beaverton and Tigard.”
Furthermore, at the Laker’s most recent game, they scored a clean win against the Canby Cougars (40-27), giving new hope to a rocky season.
The junior varsity team is in top form, having won all four of their games. Quarterback Jackson Laurent says his team’s success “has been due to our preparation and dedication during practice.”
Just a month away is one of LO’s most anticipated sporting events: the civil war game against Lakeridge. Because it take place on Oct. 28, the game’s theme is “Halloween out.” Come watch and cheer your fellow Lakers on to victory!
