Fall sports are officially coming to a close this year at LOHS and the Laker water polo teams had an amazing season.
The boys team ended up second in the state with an incredibly close final game against Sam Barlow on Nov. 11 with a final score of 11-10.
The girls ended up sixth place in the state of Oregon with a final score of 13-9 against the Newberg Tigers on Nov. 10. While they may not have gotten a higher ranking than last year, they still knocked it out of the park this season. While both teams may have lost some valuable players from last season, they became even closer as teammates “we’re all friends and do team activities like eating at each other’s houses. We have that link that you need to be someone’s teammate.” said senior Ford Bovich. Both teams ended the season incredibly strong and made bonds that they will never forget.
