Winter is upon us and along with that comes many exciting winter sports. One of those sports that is often underlooked, but is nothing short of exciting, is wrestling.
The LOHS wrestling team has began their winter season, and they are looking to make some noise. They practice most days after school and are training hard for the upcoming season. With a young, talented roster, the hopes are even higher than last year. It is a bigger, more developed team who is looking to have even more individuals in state and place as best as possible. “Our team is looking great, we have a much bigger squad now with a lot of new guys joining the family,” said senior Dylan Keyser. “I hope to better myself and my teammates in this sport,” Keyser continued. “I think we will have a successful season with lots of wins.”
The Lakers will have their first duel on Dec. 16 in a TRL matchup at home against Tigard, to kick off an exciting season. The comradery and connection between the team is great this year and Laker support would be much appreciated throughout the upcoming season. The team will be entertaining to watch, with high aspirations for winning a state title.
