Girls basketball season begins

Riley Daniels, Staffer

Starting off the season with a loss against Cleveland, the #9 team in the state, the Lakers Girls Basketball team didn’t let it affect them, looking to turn their season around. After almost a week of rest until their second game, LO gained the composure they needed, visibly seen when they played Reynolds. In an extremely close game, the Lakers pulled away in the final minutes, giving them the 26-23 win. Coming off a win, the Lakers kept their confidence, which rewarded them in another win. They continued their winning streak against Gresham, beating them 43-15 in blowout fashion. Next up for Lake Oswego is the Interstate Shootout tournament, starting on Dec. 18.
