In the near future, there will be a significant addition to the fast-food that Lake Oswego offers!
The famous fast food chain, Chick-Fil-A is officially coming to Lake Oswego, replacing the previous Stanford’s Restaurant and Bar. Instead of having to drive 30 minutes outside of Lake Oswego, Chick-Fil-A fans can now drive to a much closer location. Many LOHS students are anticipating the appearance of the popular fast food chain.
“I just heard about that today, I’m excited. Except I’m sad because it’s my senior year so we will be gone,” said Halle Sequeira.
In order to avoid traffic, there will not be a drive-through for the restaurant. While this makes a chicken sandwich a little bit harder to get to, it is going to be beneficial for the flow and speed of the food delivery, as the restaurant won’t get over packed. There are estimated to be 70 parking spots in the lot for Chick-Fil-A.
“I’m really excited to have Chick-Fil-A because I won’t have to go super far to get it now. It’ll be an easier drive and I’ll go with friends. I won’t have to drive all the way on the 217 through traffic, it’ll be nice,” said senior Sam Trojan.
It is unclear whether Grubhub, Ubereats or Doordash will connect to this Chick-Fil-A and make it even more convenient for at-home eaters, but we will just have to wait and see. The exact date of opening is also unknown, however, it is expected to be in 2024. This year we will be seeing the fast food chain move in closer than ever.
