For Lake Oswego star running back Casey Filkins, Monday, Nov. 19 was a “dream come true.”

The Stanford Cardinal commit was awarded his 2019 All American Bowl Jersey, a game that will be played on Jan. 4, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas.

Filkins said about his invitation to this prestigious event, “It’s very gratifying to be awarded with this recognition and opportunity to play in this game.  It also inspires me to want to work even harder.”

Joining Filkins in San Antonio is Head Football Coach, Steve Coury.  Coury, who will head the sideline for the West team, said that “It’s an honor to [coach in this game] and it is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Casey and I to go back there and represent the community.”

Both Filkins and Coury also wanted to recognize their fellow coaches and teammates for helping them achieve the award.
