Speech and debate had a successful district tournament from March 16-17 and have the national qualifier on March 22 and 23. Junior Sana Hokawala have even already qualified for the big question debate. National qualifier Hokawala, said, “Big question is a type of event that runs for about an hour between two competitors.” The speech and debate team has qualified for many state events. They have been preparing the entire year for this year’s events. Math teacher Robyn Rose, who is also the team coach, said, “We hold team practice once a week after school, but last week almost every single student was preparing after school.”
