Recently, there has been speculation that Dolly Parton is dying. After cancelling her upcoming performances in Las Vegas due to “health concerns,” many fans began to worry.
Frieda Parton, Dolly Parton’s sister, made a post on Facebook saying she’d been “up all night praying” for her sister, causing many fans to believe something serious had happened. Dolly Parton’s sister apologized for this commotion, saying “I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly.” Stella Parton, another one of her siblings, shared, “To those with genuine concern to my big sister Dolly’s well being, she posted a video last week to share with her fans she has had kidney stones and is getting treatment.”
While a lot of fans felt more at ease, others remained skeptical about the whole ordeal. An AI photo had been posted of Dolly Parton on her deathbed, making it look like she was in critical condition. Many fans believed this and started posting their formal goodbyes to Dolly Parton. After hearing all the uproar, Dolly Parton posted a response on social media. With the caption “I ain’t dead yet and assured fans she would be just fine and that the photo was AI. Reba McEntire, country singer and friend of Dolly Parton, was featured in the fake picture comforting Dolly Parton at her death bed. “You tell’em Dolly – that AI mess has got us doing all kinds of crazy things,” she said.
Fans are finally able to calm down and stop stressing over Dolly Parton’s health.
