School can be stressful for many students, especially in high school. A coping mechanism or relaxant that is common among LOHS students is listening to music. Students may use Airpods, headphones or an Amazon Alexa to listen to their favorite songs while studying, working out or handling their daily tasks. While pop has been a frequent genre choice, country artists like Megan Moroney have been making their way up the playlists of many high schoolers. On Saturday, Sept. 27, Megan Moroney made her way to the Portland Moda Center to perform a 90 minute concert for her fans. Country concerts commonly attract fans wearing denim, white and cowboy hats. One of our Lakers who attended the concert was sophomore Tatum Moore. “I really enjoyed when Megan sang ‘Man On the Moon’,” Moore said. “The whole stadium was excited because it was the first song.” Another one of our Lakers, sophomore Antonia Amandi said, “I liked ‘Sleep on my Side’” when everyone was yelling the lyrics, and “Bless Your Heart.” Megan Moroney has attracted many teenagers and young adults, and she continues to sell out concerts all over the country.
