A solid ski team continues striving for improvement

One of Lake Oswego High’s two sports that take place on the mountain is poised to have another successful season. For some sports, success is defined by winning games or competitions, however, the ski team has a different opinion.

In his second year as a ski team member, senior Nick Surina says, “[Coach Raymond] always says that the point of the team is not so much to win, that comes as a part of getting better. We are really all about people improving their skiing.”

Surina also mentioned that he expects to have a solid team at state even though that is not the most important thing. It should be a fun year up on the mountain!
